We are a team of experienced dog walkers, pet sitters, and pet groomers who are passionate about providing the best care for your furry friend. We offer a variety of pet services, including dog walking, overnight in-home pet sitting, drop-ins, cat sitting, pet store errands, veterinary visits, dog park visits, daycare, hikes, and mobile pet grooming.

Meet The Owner, Marisa Gomez!

Marisa has been working with animals for over 14 years. She started as a veterinary receptionist and became a veterinarian technician after a couple of years, but her love for animals didn't stop in the office. She also volunteers at shelters and other animal organizations while also fostering pets in her home.

With all of this experience, Marisa knew that caring for animals was her calling, and she felt she could do more to promote the health, happiness, and longevity of pets in her community. She also wanted to have the chance to build stronger bonds with the animals and their pet parents instead of seeing them just a couple times a year for regular vet appointments or for emergencies.

So, she made the decision to start her own business in 2012 with a handful of clients, where she performed duties ranging from administering fluids to a cat in kidney failure to hiking dogs. At the end of her first year, her business had already grown so much she needed to bring in other pet lovers to assist her and help meet the needs of her clients. Today, BarksNPurrs has an expanded staff and continues to strive to keep the "family" small, friendly, detailed, and experienced.
